The private school offers 3 levels of education (kindergarten, primary and secondary).  The school truly believes that every child is a genius.  Here are some of the history of SEkolah Sri Pelita..


1999   Received a vision to make a difference in the lives of our children

2000   Primary school begins with 13 students

2001   Secondary school begins with 25 students

2011   Primary school and secondary school – Total 244 students

Our founders, Dr. Seow Siew Hua and Ms Hor Yoke Chee, received a vision in 1999 to make a difference in the lives of our children. In 2000, Sri Pelita Primary began operations with an initial batch of 13 students. In 2001, we pioneered Sri Pelita Secondary with 25 students.

Dr. Seow Siew Hua, our first principal, has a Masters In Education and 23 years of experience in training teachers.

Ms Hor Yoke Chee was a CFO in Intel, including four years as the Head of Finance for the Asia-Pacific region. She was also the CFO and a board member of GEM, an education management group from China.



Age: 4 – 6

Duration: 1 – 3 years

School Hours: Monday – Friday (Full Day 8:30am – 3:00pm; Half Day 8:30am – 12noon)

Sri Pelita’s approach to kindergarten education is to create a learning environment where children can expand their love of learning, their general knowledge and their ability to get along with others. Children are encouraged to use their creativity and imagination in learning:

• Literacy
• Maths
• Nature & Science
• Creative Play & Craft
• Character Development


Educational Level: Primary 1 – 6 (K1 – K6)

Age: 7 – 12

Duration: 6 years

School Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 3:15pm)

At Sri Pelita primary school, learning is fun and exciting. While acquiring a strong academic foundation in languages, science and mathematics, students will participate in a range of integrative activities that will help develop creativity, lateral thinking, communication and organisational skills.


Educational Level: Secondary 1 – 5 (F1 – F5)

Age: 13 – 17

Duration: 5 years

School Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)

With our focus on multiple intelligences, students combine academic work with coaching in sports, performing arts, participation in uniformed bodies and extra-curricular activities to develop their interests and talents to the fullest. Through such active participation, students develop skills they need to succeed in the 21st century – collaboration, resourcefulness, perserverence, technological and communication skills.
